Waterproof to an impressive 1,220 meters (4,000 feet), it excels in saturation diving with a helium escape valve, mastering decompression during ascent. Its waterproofness initially guaranteed to 610 meters (2,000 feet) extends to 1,220 meters (4,000 feet) from 1978, adapting to evolving underwater challenges. From pioneering experiments in the Tektite program with NASA to record-setting dives in partnership with Comex, the Sea‑Dweller has been an integral part of groundbreaking underwater endeavors. Rolex's collaboration with Comex involves designing hyperbaric tanks for waterproofness tests, reaching depths of up to 13,750 meters (45,112 feet).
